Introduction
With the commencement of the 2015 season the League introduced a new method of conducting matches for our youngsters in the Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10 age groups.
The new arrangements brought our League into line with most other junior Leagues in Australia and are as a result of decisions made by football's parent bodies. The rules have been carefully considered after extensive research over a number of years.
What was previously known as our Tacker's competition (Under 8s & 9s) has now be broken into Under 8s and an Under 9s age groups with most clubs fielding multiple teams. These matches involve smaller team sizes and they are played on reduced playing fields.
The Under 10s matches are very similar to previous years and what applies to the older age groups. Changes are mostly limited to the way matches are scored and results recorded. |
